Bal Harbour occupies the last ten blocks of Miami Beach before Haulover Cut. It is quiet by design: a village of a few thousand residents, one luxury mall, and a beach path that runs south toward Surfside. Guests reach all three on foot.
The village runs from 96th Street north to the inlet, bounded by the Atlantic on one side and the Intracoastal on the other. Collins Avenue carries the beachfront towers. Bal Harbour Shops sits on the west side of Collins, and the crosswalk takes about a minute from the oceanfront buildings. South of 96th the pace changes immediately as the street crosses into Surfside, where the storefronts get smaller and the buildings drop to a few stories.
Haulover Park lies just over the inlet bridge, with a marina, a sandbar that fills with boats on weekends, and ocean access for charters running north or south.
Housing here splits between oceanfront condominium residences on Collins and single-family houses on the bay side, where the streets end at private docks. Jatina Group does not hold a home inside the village itself, though our closest managed villas are a short drive south and the service does not change. A typical booking includes a transfer from MIA or Fort Lauderdale, a stocked kitchen before arrival, and a house manager reachable by phone for the length of the stay.
Guests who want a boat day usually leave from Haulover or from a slip closer to Miami Beach, since the inlet puts open water a few minutes from the dock. Private chefs, in-residence spa treatments and daily housekeeping are arranged on request.
This is a driving neighborhood, though less so than most of Miami. The Shops, the sand and a full grocery all sit within a few blocks of the oceanfront buildings. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International is roughly twenty-five minutes north on I-95, and Miami International closer to thirty-five, longer in afternoon traffic.
Aventura and its mall are about ten minutes west over the bridge. South Beach is a twenty-minute run down Collins, and the drive is worth doing once for the stretch through Mid-Beach. Guests staying a week tend to keep one car and use rideshare for dinners, since parking near the Shops fills early on weekends.
We do not currently manage a home inside Bal Harbour. These are the closest villas in our collection, all within a short drive.
From the oceanfront blocks, the Shops, the beach and a full grocery are all within a five-minute walk, so short days need no car at all. Anything beyond the village does: Aventura is ten minutes west, South Beach twenty minutes south. Most guests keep one vehicle and use rideshare in the evenings.
Around thirty-five minutes in normal traffic, running I-95 north and cutting east over the 96th Street bridge. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International is often the faster arrival at about twenty-five minutes. Jatina Group arranges private transfers from either one, with the driver tracking the flight so nobody waits at the curb.
The single-family houses on the bay side of the village sit on water with private dockage, though our own managed villas sit further south, several of them on the Venetian Islands with deep-water dockage.
