Las Olas Boulevard connects downtown Fort Lauderdale to the beach in about two miles, crossing the Isles on the way. Those side streets are finger islands, each one lined with houses that have a dock at the back and a canal at the end. Miami is forty minutes south.
The western end of Las Olas is shops, galleries and sidewalk restaurants, with the Riverwalk and the New River a couple of blocks south. East of Federal Highway the boulevard crosses the Intracoastal and the character changes completely: residential islands on both sides, then the beach at A1A.
Fort Lauderdale has hundreds of miles of navigable waterway, which is where the Venice of America line comes from. Water taxis stop along the New River and the Intracoastal, and using one is a slower and considerably better way to see the city than driving it.
Our Las Olas luxury rentals are waterfront houses on the Isles, most with a heated pool, a summer kitchen and eighty feet or more of dock. Several sit on canals with no fixed bridges between them and the Port Everglades inlet, which matters if you are bringing a larger boat.
Jatina Group provides the same service here as in Miami: stocking, housekeeping, a house manager and chefs on request. Charters can leave from the property's own dock rather than a marina. Boat show week in late autumn books out first, so those dates need locking in months ahead of time.
Fort Lauderdale beach is five minutes east of most of the Isles, with the promenade along A1A running north past Sunrise Boulevard toward the state park. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International is fifteen minutes south, and the Port Everglades cruise terminals sit beside it.
Miami is the longer trip: about forty minutes to Sunny Isles and an hour to South Beach on a good day, considerably worse on I-95 at rush hour. Brightline's Fort Lauderdale station is downtown, a few blocks off the boulevard, which makes a day in Miami or West Palm Beach easy without driving at all.

About forty minutes to the north Miami beaches and an hour to South Beach without traffic, using I-95 or Federal Highway. Brightline runs from downtown Fort Lauderdale to MiamiCentral in roughly half an hour, which avoids the drive entirely. Jatina Group operates in both cities, so a split stay is straightforward to arrange.

Late autumn, when the international boat show fills the city, followed by the winter season from January through April. Rates and minimum stays climb over both stretches. Summer is quieter and much warmer, with afternoon storms most days and far better availability across the Isles.
